It’s pretty simple and straightforward, we have a per diem charge for captain and crew plus any expenses incurred for the delivery.

A written estimate will be provided upfront and all paperwork completed before departure. Everything is in black and white with an itemized report provided at delivery completion showing all expenses, receipts, ships log and vessel inspection findings.

Delivery fees are determined by the vessel size and number of crew needed to safely move the boat. I like to have the minimum of myself and one crew onboard for most deliveries for safety, docking and emergency purposes but some powerboat deliveries can be single handed.

Offshore sailboat deliveries traveling 24/7 need a captain and one or two crew, again depending on the size of vessel.

The Safety of the vessel and crew are always priority one.

Typical costs involved with a delivery:

  • Captain & crew
  • Travel expenses (airfare, ground transportation)
  • Food and provisions, spare parts
  • Fuel, Dockage
  • Customs and clearance fees
  • Vessel repairs (All repairs will be approved by the owner prior to repair unless it’s an emergency)

Captain fees range from $300.00 to $450.00 day
Crew fees range from $100.00 to $150.00 day
(Depending on vessel and delivery)
